Disney, the parent company of ABC, acknowledged the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in a statement, saying: “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.

“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

It's going to be interesting how this all plays out. Sinclair and Nexstar stations are still pre-empting his show - so it won't be seen on a large portion of ABC stations across the county. ABC never said Kimmel was fired, only suspended, so his return should not be surprising. However, now it's going to get interesting - is Kimmel contrite and apologetic - as he should be? Or will it be hate hate hate as usual? Kimmel's ratings have been dropping for 10 straight years - will Disney keep him on air or pull the plug. They certainly crafted a well-thought out press release that tries to appease everyone. lol - so typical. I have no problem with him returning to work - he's just not someone I can watch - I have no interest in the left's never ending supply of hate. It's no way to go through life. It's funny how the left wackadoodles claim Kirk spewed hate speech - yet no one has shown a single example. Classic loony leftists - just making up shit and then getting irate when asked for proof.

If he apologizes it will obviously be fake so he shouldn't even bother...although a lot of dumb people would believe he's sincere so maybe he will. He should have his agent write one of those apologies that the Dominican baseball players who get busted for PEDs have their agents write. Those are funny because the players probably look at them and think "Man, I don't talk like that".

I always wonder when I see quotes from dumb players like "I played good" or "I ain't never gonna let him score dunk on me" if the sportswriter changed it to proper English the player would complain about being misquoted. lol
