I’ve had tsa pre for 5 yrs. It’s due for renewal this fall. Amazing more people don’t get it. Far cheaper than clear $85 for 5 yrs I think vs clear at $180 per yr. TSA pre gets you to the front of the line as well just don’t have an escort, don’t have to remove shoes.

I was going to say that I've found TSA Pre lines much more crowded over the past couple of years. I think more people have discovered it so the advantage is less than when it first came out. Then I read more carefully ...

Clear gives you the ability to cut to the front of the *TSA Pre* line/queue. The bill proposed in California would allow Clear to continue to operate, but it would have to be in a line/queue separate from TSA Pre.

I think most people accept the fact of better service in exchange for paying more, but I gather that people in this case get pissed off at people cutting right in front of them. (Imagine if that happened at a gas station.)

We paid and extra fee of Maybe $100 on a trip to Jamaica in the heart of pre vax Covid in June 2000. Everyone had to get a Covid test in the Jamaican AP. We got to go to front of the line so were only there about 30 minutes. The next day other guests at the hotel said they had to wait 4-5 HOURS to get tested. Best $100 I ever spent in my life.

Just like capitalism is supposed to work, right? You want something and are willing to pay $100, someone else can do it and is willing to accept $100.

Of course, I bet you are glad that you were in among small number who did it. If everyone paid the extra fee, then everyone would be waiting 4-5 hours ... AND out $100. (There is an economic principle there, but the name escapes me. )

I think there is room for transgender women and trans-anything in sports. Against other trannies. They could even have a Trans-Olympics if they wanted. I don't care. Women's sports at a professional level are barely watched, when compared to men's sports.

Trans sports will not be watched by anyone other than trans people, so they wouldn't even register a rating.
-So why put them on? Would the government need to pay for the commercials on trans sports so they get a "equal" share?

Lea Thomas didn't alter himself...I don't see a difference in the least. Just a different sport. Arenas is talking about actual women.
