I do agree with you Auro, I would have never considered implying a bomb-scare at any school I went to. Yes, I have flipped of a teacher or two, but would never sink to the level that kids currently do.
I think the larger problem is a complete lack of accountability - not surprising in an era of 'defund the police' and turning all criminals loose to reign terror, all for political maneuvering. Just today the mayor of SF declared an emergency in the tenderloin area of SF - whether she is doing this out of concern for the people - of if a re election is coming up, is the question.

This is DT's high school - I grew up right down the street from it but went to rival Edmonds - kid taking a gun to school to show it off - not to commit any acts of violence. But again, how do you do this, knowing the history of school gun violence, and not be scared of the serious consequences this would bring? The complete lack of self awareness - coupled with youthful stupidity - in an era of 'no consequences for your actions' governing.

DT - you have an alibi??

Damn. That's nuts. Nowadays, you're more likely to be punished for not wearing a mask at school than for bringing a gun. I'm joking of course, but man, I long for the days when the biggest fear about going to school was forgetting the visine. :D

Has your son had any diagnosis on the cause of the migraines?
Joking, or not. Obviously you wouldn't get arrested for the mask, but your point is valid. They have to wear those damn things all day, and if they are talking and it falls below their nose? Some teachers freak out! It is nuts. I feel bad for the kids, that is for sure.

Not much on the diagnosis....sometimes chiropractic helps, sometimes that and having him pound water helps, but other times he just needs to lay down in a dark room. I feel for him. I had them for a period of time and had to go through some crazy chiropractic and traction to put the curve back in my neck! But not sure that is his issue, and mine was gone within a couple of months of that treatment.
There is a new class of drug for Chronic migraine called CGRPs that are quite efficacious. I forecasted one of them for a company in Bothell called AlderBio. Looks like they are still only indicated for Adults though but he is getting close to adulthood if its your oldest right?

This is really interesting - but is the blocking of the CGRP to reduce symptoms a good thing? Or is it just masking a greater underlying problem?
My issue with pharma is that they are not looking to cure, but to medicate you forever. They are about the money - and that's their business, I get it, and it's their right, but it's just so shady to me. I find it to be one of the greatest moral and ethical dilemma of our time. Journalistic integrity is right there too.

If companies can come up with cure they would get 100% market share. A company that came up with a cure for Cancer would instantly be worth more than the Combined Mkt. caps of Amazon, MSFT and Google.

Gilead Cured Hep C. But this article speaks to your point.

Seems December 17th has 'school shootings' attached to it.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/tiktok-threa ... ded-report

Most seem to be rumors....but please do what's best for your family.
Not to downplay this stuff, but I wonder how many 'threats' are idle threats by kids wanting to get out of school early, and something like this could make that happen. Hey, kids to stupid stuff, we've all done stupid stuff as a kid, so it doesn't seem far fetched that kids would try to copycat a hoax to get out of school.
Yeah, I thought of that very thing. I am sure the threat was a bunch of crap. And, under normal circumstances, I would have said they should have just done what they did. But my kids have had to have like 4 or 5 COVID tests each, just to go back to school. So, we are scared to death of a virus that will basically kill no one their age, sent kids home for almost a year due to a virus that, again, kills almost no one their age, but we are not as afraid of a psycho with a gun?

Shit, the day before Christmas break, according to my son he had movie day in all his classes but one!

At least it was worth risking his life for instead of school work. ;)

Holy Shit! That is messed up.

One a slightly different note, I awoke to a text and email from the Junior High this morning that they had received a credible shooting threat, but not to fear, they will have police on sight. I get it, that helps some, but the hypocrisy is insane. My son had a headache, he has a history of migraines. Yet he had to provide a negative test result before he could go back to in person school, yet today? A legitimate threat to shoot of the school is received at that specific school? And they have in person school, the day before they are all let out for Christmas break

I'm not sure it's so obvious people won't be arrested for masks at some point if the majority continue to comply.

Rams had 52 of 53 players vaxxed way back in August and now have 25 on the Covid list. And Seahawks twitter is screaming that the didn't do enough to prevent the spread and thus should forfeit. Fucking lunatics.

This is getting fucking crazy.
All I hear now is that in January we are going to witness in NYC Medical Tyranny like never seen before in our country ala Austrailia.
I have no words.
My wife and I are ready to cut ties with this town.
If it wasn't for my wife's retirement and my boy's accelerated education program we'd have left already.
Anyone need a hired hand on the farm in Montana or someplace out west??
I got no problem diggin ditches again for a living! Seriously.
