President Trump has had the files since he left office.
The DOJ and everyone else knew he had them since early 2021.
Whether he declassified them or not is a moot issue since they have known about them for so long.
Trump had told them in Early June that they were under lock and key and to come and get them if they were that worried.
The Archives told him to put another lock on the door....which he had done (I'm sure the man cannot use the tools needed for this).
The DOJ and FBI got a 'broad' search warrant, when they knew where the files were.
They had the warrant on a Friday, but didn't do anything until Monday.

More importantly, if you watch the independant news outlets like The HIll, even the most left leaning hosts are leaning into this being total nonsense and a major black eye on the Dems. It is so obvious. This is getting so bad and so obvious that the most left wing, pro dems are saying this is bad - and when your biggest supporters who hate trump and blindly toe the Dem narrative are saying "whoa, wait a minute, this is fucked up," it becomes beyond undeniable. This is creating a seismic shift against the Dems, and turning Trump into a sympathetic figure - this is literally bullying. This is becoming less about left/right, dem/rep, this is about a completely out of control government and everyone is seeing it in real time, and I think the vast majority of Americans are waking up and recognizing the trouble we are in. This gov is totally out of control - because they know if the GOP take over, there is going to be major investigations and jail time - likely starting with Hunter, the Clintons, Obama, purjing of the DOJ and FBI, and it'll ravage the Dems for a long lone time.
