All those nations need to be held to account to clean up the mess they are creating. Is it really that hard to recycle?

Speaking for the Philippines, it's PET bottles and plastic bags. Bottling water really impacted the environment. But the number one culprit are probably thin little plastic bags. Used for all sorts of things and then dropped in the road to be washed out to sea.

But why can't a recycling policy be implemented? They could employ thousands of people. At the very least they could gather it up and ship it to countries that already have the technology in place to deal with it. Or ban plastic bags alrogether if they can't dispose of it properly and go with biodegradable materials.

Accountability?

Not on this planet. Not in this lifetime.

Kinda like the idea of attempting to hold everyone accountable by telling them to sell their vehicles and ride public transit and bicycles to lower their carbon footprint. While the elites and government officials fly all over the world in their carbon emitting jets. Hypocrites.

I was looking at it some more. You have what's called a sachet economy. To meet the needs of a poor population all sorts of things are sold in little one use satchels. Pretty much everybody has a little store as part of their house. They sell these things to each other. From what I was reading the empty packs make up a whopping 52 percent of the trash that is making it's way to the ocean. It's international corporations, like Unilever that are pumping the things out.

Stairs can be more like primitive ladders. They have wakes, never heard of guarding the corpse. She's going to want to be there, she isn't going to be alone, it's a wake

Believe nuclear power is still pretty popular in some European countries, France being the most agreeable. Each country sets it's own policy. They are faced with replacing aging power plants. Countries like china and India are where there probably be expanding nuclear energy

Where's Dixy Lee Ray when we need her ?

https://www.britannica.com/biography/Dixy-Lee-Ray

There was a certain quirky honesty about her.

How can we even have a cogent environmental policy, not to mention an energy one.....while China and India laugh at our AlGore mentality ? While we punish ourselves with carbon footprints, coal banning, destruction of the internal combustion engine and natural gas appliances.....its clear our national strategy is run by lunatics.
