Isn't it the same reaction to why you're not getting the vaccine? It's his choice. I have no idea why he didn't get the vaccine, but I don't care. That's on him.

After Labor day we are expected to go back into the office a least once a week and unvaccinated people will have to wear a mask. So if I didn't get vaccinated I would have had to either wear a mask or lie and I wasn't doing either so I got my first shot on the 10th and will get the second on the 10th of August. btw the only "side effect" for me was a slightly sore arm.

Yeah, my job is similar although there isn't an officialy policy yet. I think they're waiting to see what's going on with the Delta variant.

Sore arm is all I got too. Even the 2nd shot, I was a little tired - but that could've came from the 8 beers I had the night when I got the shot.

But my question still remains. If I am vaccinated, why in the hell should I be REQUIRED to wear a mask? (Wait for it, it will be reinstated this Fall.) If you are unvaccinated, except for kids under 12, isn't that your choice? So wearing a mask should be upon you, not those who chose to get vaccinated. People who are unvaccinated should wear a mask, but it is their choice.

Saw a gal in the store yesterday that was wearing a mask and a face shield! I wanted to ask her if she was vaccinated. too.

I think it's b/c the Delta variant is affecting kids. Even if you're vaccinated, you can get it - then give it to someone else (like a kid). I think that's the thought process behind that. I haven't seen anywhere go back to mask mandates though. Just got back from Safeway and there were limited masks being worn.

Speaking of the Delta variant, my understanding is that the standard Covid tests just show positive or negative so where is the Delta variant data coming from.

Great point.

Sounds like "Delta variant" is the excuse for people who have the vaccine still testing positive to me. The tests were always bogus, just another way to kick the can of obedience and submission down the road.

I'm curious why unvaccinated people should still wear a mask?

I don't wear a mask during flu season because other people might have the flu and survival rates are equal to flu in my age group with covid.

That's pretty much the point, unvaccinated people aren't running for cover, nor are they being killed off. The only ones scared are the vaccinated people and their fear is completely irrational.
