In a report at Real Clear Markets, John Tamny, who also is vice president at FreedomWorks and a senior fellow at the Market Institute, cited Biden's claim, just days ago, that he "grew up in a family where the price at the pump was felt in the kitchen."

"Biden didn’t grow up in a family burdened by gasoline price spikes, and not just because he’s long overstated the humble circumstances he emerged from."

Despite Biden's latest fib, the report explained, "Biden didn’t endure food shortages related to pricey gasoline simply because he was born in 1942. When Biden was growing up, the price of gasoline was flat. And it was cheap."

It really is kind of amazing the bullshit that come out of his mouth. I'm not nearly as down on the guy as most of the rest of you (though I'm not a fan), but at a certain point you have to realize that he just kind of says stuff. It's probably something he learned as a young politician in the 70's when you could get away with just saying whatever you felt people wanted to hear, and most of the time no one would call you on it. The problem is that when you're the President, you can't do that. Someone fact checks pretty much every word that comes out of your mouth.

Yep, fact checks were almost impossible pre internet so fibs and even blatant lies had no repercussions. But to continue you to do it now is beyond belief. I am surprised when people throw easily refutable nonsense out on twitter or even here (something as simple as inaccurate baseball stats or the guy on Twitter that said that Bret Boone was the Mariner 2B in 1997. He then said, must have been Jose Lopez who was 13 yo at the time after I corrected him )

But as you said he is the Potus and is either unaware or doesn't care. Not sure what is worse.
