These quotes I'm reading from Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy are just laughable.

Look, maybe a case can be made that this madman shouldn't even have been out on the streets, but you know what, if some nut decides at a random moment that he's going to stab or shoot someone, there isn't a damn thing anyone can do about it until after it starts happening and by then it will probably be too late for somebody.

The human arrogance behind those quotes. Sometimes in life shit just happens and someone will be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I suppose a government official can't say that and instead has to blame another government official for something that's virtually unpreventable. Typical knee-jerk shit.

The killer apparently had a lengthy criminal history and shouldn't have been out on the streets. Hope he is executed in short order and whatever judge(s) unleashed him on society gets removed from their position. I realize both those things are highly unlikely.

Maybe, but if he served his time for the crimes he committed and was able to conceal his madness while incarcerated, what are you going to do? There are many thousands of violent criminals on the streets right now, some of whom are going straight, some of whom are back in crime, and at most a handful who are going to do something totally insane like this madman did.

I haven't watched it and don't think I will if it's that horrific. Just to be sitting there minding your own business and having that happen to you, life is just a sick joke sometimes.
