I'm seeing scores of comments on the recent assassination attempt (albeit a really shitty one) saying that it was staged.

First of all, if it was staged, then why is the "patsy" still alive? I can begin and end right there. Why would you leave the guy breathing so that he can rat you out later on? Amazing how an alarming number of people (and this goes for 9/11 Inside Job conspiracy theorists) wholeheartedly believe that just because they would come up with the stupidest and most childish plan possible, government officials would also come up with the stupidest and most childish plan possible.

Not to mention all the witnesses including the media, and that's especially hilarious, Liberals disregarding what the mostly liberal media which actually witnessed the event is telling them. Gotta love it.

I think it just highlights how many people don't trust the government, including the Trump administration.

I lnow I certainly count myself among that group, and most here know that I supported Trump probably more than most Republicans did until he abandoned everything we voted for him to do.

And that's perfectly understandable as an inital reaction, but once one puts a little thought into it that should be the end of it. Myself, it took me less than one second, as in hey, if this was staged then why isn't he dead?

Pretty weird thing to even think is staged since nothing even really happened.
