And I got some Aldo Nova going right now.
What, no Red Rider? You burn through that cassette? :D
Red Rider....I remember them well.

One of a few "one-hit-wonders" that should have been so much more.

I always liked women's voices that exude power in Rock and Roll:
Pat Benatar is one.

Til Tuesday with Aimee Mann (sang Time Stand Still with Rush as well)

Benatar is great, but I think Ann Wilson may be one of the best vocalists of all time.

Did you ever see this? I;ve posted before but no one responded - Heart doing Stairway in from of Zeppelin - incredible performance

I actually saw Red Rider - I think they opened for either Journey or REO Speedwagon.

Yeah, you posted that before......very nice.

The Wilson sisters are both powerful singers and worth a listen. Even though I lived in Bellevue for 10 years, I never followed Heart the way others in the area did.

Now, I did follow Queensryche until they became overly political.
Mind Crime is still one of my top 10 albums.

Queensryche is awesome and agree - Operation Mindcrime is fantastic. They are playing Spokane on Oct 21. Come up.

Would be fun, but I already have a trip planned...leaving on the 22nd.

It's also my understanding that Queensryche is no longer traveling with J. Tate.
[it so, it just wouldn't be the same]

Stumbled on this GEM. Please note - this video has 14 MILLION hits. For a f*n Canadian band!

If you know April Wine, you know what's up.... I LIKE TO ROCK! The Third best rock band to come out of the Great White North. Maybe fourth. Okay, top ten.

C'mon, Chairman Mao - top this!

I posted about Ann Wilson as well. Before Heart became "National" they used to play regularly at Parkers on Aurora. You could get in to see them for $2. That was years prior to Dreamboat Annie. They played there every couple of months. Ann has a great voice with power as well as nuance.

Benatar, Joan Jett, and even Linda Ronstadt. All three are in the top 10 of best female rockers! #1? Ann Wilson.

I've always loved the sound of Stevie Knicks as well. She doesn't have the 'powerful' voice of the others, but it's just so damned soothing.
