OK, you guys are shaming me into it. Gonna end up showing my age, though.

Crosby, Stills, and Nash, of course (College in the 70's)
The Beatles
Jethro Tull
Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks was hot in '75)
Moody Blues
Early Elton John
ZZ Top

Rather an eclectic group!
Great picks on The Moodies and CSN, Fleetwood and early EJ.

My nephew can't stand them, thinks they're overrated and overplayed (he's 27).

As an aside, I met Billy Gibbons a few years ago, cool dude. I told him how much I loved Breakaway, and he thanked me.

Personally, I think the Moody Blues are underrated.

Of course ZZ Top is over-rated! But some of their songs are classic and their videos were awesome! The schtick worked!

. By the time of Hill's death in 2021, ZZ Top had become the longest-running band with an unchanged lineup in the history of popular music.[
Overrated, what's that mean exactly? They made it really with their exposure on MTV, they worked that well. They have sold 50 million albums and been inducted into the R&R HOF, who's doing the rating?

I think the word, "over-rated" had more to do with the quality of their music. It isn't exactly music and lyrics you'd remember 20 years from now, but you have to take into consideration how they definitely found their niche and milked it for all it was worth!

Okay, they took like a sabbatical, came back, music had changed, they had grew the beards, and it clicked with MTV
