Check out this card of artists from the 3-day Seattle Pop Festival in Woodinville July 1969.

Ticket Prices?

Six bucks per day, $15 for all three days lol.
The real WoodinStock. I'll bet their bootleg t shirts were a hot seller.
How you doin' my friend?

Thanks, aurora. For the first time in nearly two years, I'm starting to feel a little better. Losing Julie put me on the mat like nothing ever did before or ever will again. One cool thing -- the neighbor behind me is beautiful and we've been friends for 23 years. She is all alone now also. Julie and I always called her Miss Wisconsin because she really is stunning, even at 60. So three weeks ago we framed in a drop-down "window" on the back fence and we've just been sitting out there for cocktail hour and chatting. Might not sound like much, but I've been very quiet for a long time and really haven't wanted to socialize at all. Just being able to sit and chat, share a drink and a few laughs with such a doll is a big step for me lol.

Resuscitating this thread because it's f*cking awesome.

If you have a weak heart, low testosterone, or enjoy white wine - skip this one.

Thin Lizzy - Cold Sweat - an ultimate shredder. Phil Lynott putting on a clinic... not that anyone on here outside Maoling even knows who that is.

This is life caffeine for the ears - a triple fucking espresso.

Underrated song by legends. The Who; Who Are You?

The pure joy of Keith Moon cannot be appreciated enough. Coulda been Bonham.
The stoicism of Entwistle - always looking like he skipped coffee.
The musical genius of Townshend - a man that definitely needed an outlet to channel all his energies.
The hair conditioner that Daltry used as part of his daily beauty routine - really brought it all together.

ladies and gentlemen... The Who.

There was a time in my life when I listened to a lot of Who. I rarely do any more.

Currently my play list has a lot of:
Supertramp
Rainbow
Dio
Billy Idol
Rick Springfield

[kind of a weird mix, right]

Not weird, but Springfield does kinda come out of left field. I always underappreciated Supertramp - even though I did listen to them a lot as a kid. Looking back, now, I really appreciate how gifted they were as musicians and lyricists. I saw them at the Tacoma Dome - also saw Rainbow a couple of times. Dio was great - but I also liked Graham Bonnett's brief stint - and even Joe Lynn Turner worked well.

Bonnet's contribution - who can forget this MTV classic. Blackmore, Cozy Powell - glover - I mean - that is a very formidable line up.

Lately I'm binging a lot of Rush, Grand Funk Railroad, Slash, Audioslave and some Robert Cray. I Iike my shit heavy - but with more melody and soul. As much of a metal head as I was growing up on a steady diet of Iron Maiden, Rush, Zep, UFO and VH - the one band I could never get into was Black Sabbath. Too fucking gloomy for me. But Ozzy's solo stuff was awesome - I saw him a few times an I've even seen him here in LA.Watch that Rainbow vid for a great walk down memory lane. Bonnett whipped his dick out on stage at his first show and got booted from the band. Today, he'd turn that blunder into a career in politics.

I have to admit that there is some Men and Work and Cheap Trick in the rotation as well...I forgot.

I would assume a few more groups that you should like as well (because of the groups you referenced) would include:
Tesla
Whitesnake
Coverdale/Page

Also, in a lot of my paylists.

My shame list includes some Winger and Warrent.
