Just curious as to how you folks see the state of the country in general.
I know we are divided politically but for example here in NYC life in general is just getting worse.
Cost of living, rents high, insurance high, food high, gas ridiculous, ect.
Petty crimes are back....hit and runs, speeding, muggings for clothing and phones, car theft, beating up seniors.
Almost every day nationally they are publishing criminal acts committed in the city on the internet.
Attached is a clip of some of the violence that is popping up on a regular basis now.
The Bronx is just exploding with new people and is about to burst.
The clip is from my neighborhood close to the Parkchester train station.
I'm normally civil and get along with everyone / would wait for the cops to show up but this might be the exception...

I live in a blue state and the biggest city. How are things where you live? Better? Worse? Same ole same ole?
This post also sums up the UK, especially the bits in red. Crime also increasing here too. Inflation at its highest since the 70s. People are totally pissed off.

Ironically, the death of the Queen gave the country 12 days of respite from thinking how awful everything is. There were North Korea-esque tones to life for a short while. Don't moan about the cost of living - the Queen is dead. But thankfully, the minute her body went in the ground the doom is back on the agenda.

What's weird though is that Brits think its all down to the government to bail us out. During COVID they paid most of our wages for up to 18 months. That changed the mentality of the country, not necessarily for the better. There are now more work-shy people than ever before.

Now they've introduced an energy price cap for 2 years which will help, but have also given $1,000 handouts for the poorest in society which will probably cause more inflation.

The Conservative government, probably more closely aligned to the Republicans have become the most socialist government in my lifetime. I don't think socialism is the answer.
Sorry to hear that Mike.
I've always seen imho that what happens over there in Europe eventually happens in the USA as well.
We are allies and business partners.
They "the govt. controlled media" has done a good job sheltering from Americans what is really going on over there.
The funeral of the Queens is the first real coverage I've seen in a long time.
There is one Brittish new channel I know of on cable but most news honestly comes from the internet.
I'm waiting to see "what" false flag event the Globalists have planned for us before the November elections.
We should all prep for a few months supplies at least to weather a situation of losing services for ex.

What do you guys think?
Is Biden really in the WH?
Why are there no workers, politicians working in govt. DC buildings?

Feels like we have become occupied by the enemy.
The folks we see on TV are just actors.
Don't drink the koolaide.
Stay frosty.

I don't know about DC but The area around my offices would look similar. When I go in my desk is on a floor with probably 50 desks and there are like 2-3 people there. Everyone works from home now, bro.

The country is going to hell and lots of people are busy working to make sure that is the case.

I think this is appropriate for the thread title. If not, let me know and I'll create a new topic for it. Anyway, Adam Carolla apparently said that if AOC was sixty years old and heavy instead of slender, that nobody would pay attention to her, and of course the left flipped out about it. I think this was a week ago maybe?

We live in a country that has a president so senile that he forgot that a congresswoman died in a car crash 2 months ago.

Immediately following her death he offered condolences but now he is looking around the room for her. FFS.

Sad beyond belief. It's as though we're living in the Matrix.

As you stated earlier:

Feels like we have become occupied by the enemy.
The folks we see on TV are just actors.
