Flag Day
Its Flag Day 6/14/23. The observance has been around since 1777. A holiday since 1949.
The oldest flag parade is in Fairfield Washington (110 years), not far from Spokane.
The original 13 stars and stripes was an identifying symbol of the new nation. And the 50 stars symbolizing a mature one.
Still recognized with stance and recitation at events both recreational and civic. Military veterans especially remind of self sacrifice as a price for the freedom of all.
Nationhood is almost now a four letter word. The destruction of Old Glory is a "constitutional" right. The symbol is a point of derision for some and a meaningless tapestry to others. But not for all.
Happy Flag Day to the "not for all".

Thank you for posting this, Mel. The right to deride and even destroy is a cost of freedom, and God bless those who defend that freedom.Mel Bradford wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 7:02 pmIts Flag Day 6/14/23. The observance has been around since 1777. A holiday since 1949.

Re: Flag Day
Nobody "defends freedom". They murder on behalf of their owners. There is nothing free about living in USA. It's a Federal Reserve fiat banking ponzi scheme debt slavery system. There's a reason they're always using "Freedom" in their rhetoric. That's the propaganda they shove down our throats via public school, Hollywood, and the national sing-along flag worshipping cult ceremony before every sporting contest.
All taxation is theft. Freedom comes from God, not from politicians. Loving your country is foolish. It's stockholm syndrome. It's self enslavement.
Love people, not statism. Statism is nothing but violence, murder, theft, force, and evil. Anyone that worships their "country" is in a cult.
Real freedom is when we do away with all of the illegitimate "countries" with their stupid flags. Have you ever noticed that all of the flags are basically the same? Some lines, some shapes, mostly red, blue, white, green. It's obviously all one world system. Each so-called country is just a franchise of the main holding company. There is no sovereignty. You're celebrating a lie.

Don't listen to the crazy people. Listen to the authorities. Vote. Obey. Send your kids to 12 year indoctrination camps. Keep perpetuating the debt-slavery system.Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 6:45 pmJust ignore him. He's an absolute quack-a-doodle.
Statism is the new world religion. You can swap out "worship" with "believe in the legitimacy" if you prefer. I'm referring to anyone who doesn't yet realize that people ruling over other people is not something to celebrate.
Freedom is everything. But, the USA is not freedom no matter how many times the politicians say it is.

Happy Independence Day/ weekend. So as not to be cultish by saluting Old Glory I've decided to throw in with another country that also has a Red, White and Blue flag.....and a national spirit.

Re: Flag Day
If you look at all the flags, they all share many similar shapes and colors. It's a one world system. The so-called independent countries are just for show, and all the wars between them are orchestrated.
