Who knew he was a legendary philosopher as well. And to be able to make that call under the pressure of a life threatening situation too! lol

330 million people in the country and those are our two choices. lol Can't make it up.

If they made a movie 20 years ago about this race it would have completely bombed because it would have been completely unbelievable.

Mike Judge made a movie about it almost 20 years ago. Quite prophetic, actually.

The choice, in context is small and narrow. It comes down to who will stand in the pulpit and wield the pen, the shadow government notwithstanding.

Taxing tips unfortunately is both a federal and state concern. Eliminating the TT (income) through Congress would pressure states to do the same. Maybe even California and New York where the air is taxed (joke).

Unaudited cash tips are part of the under-economy. So a server who pockets a hundee on any given night and does not report it as income is essentially breaking the tax law. A punitive effect on working class viability. And one reason why the the shadow government wants an exclusively electronic means of exchange.

Yes, its an election appeal, but it has merit.

My biggest issue with the tax on tip is the assumption. Fine, tax them on the tips on their cc receipts that have a tip....but since they assume there are so many cash tips, which is bogus, they just tax them 11% on all their sales. Think about that....if someone tips 10% or less? It actually COSTS the server to serve them.

Do you give your UPS driver, or garbage man anything? Ever handed the guy at the fancy hotel some cash for grabbing your bags? I know guys that take care of people's lawns that get cash handed to them. That is not taxed....but because we ASSUME this is happening so much at the server level? We tax them an amount they may not have even earned? Name another time you would be OK with that? Sorry Mr Bradford, I realize you only made $100,000 this year, but we assume you actually made $150,000....so we are taxing you on that amount. I realize that is breaking it down to the ridiculous to make a point, but still.
