Melania Trump is strongly pro-choice

Excerpt from her book that will be out next Tuesday:
It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government.

Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman's fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.

Restricting a woman's right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body. I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life.

I have heard this line thousands of times and it is complete and utter bullshit.
Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body?
So the party of Science believes that a Fetus is a female body part?

Melania Trump is in the party of science? :?

I can say 2 things with some certainty:
1. The uterus is a female body part.
2. The fetus is not a *male* body part.

Beyond that, I will defer to people wiser than I. :)

3. A fetus is not part of the woman's body.
4. A fetus depends on the woman's body for growth and nourishment.

And let's face it, just like JD said in the debate; America has many, many cultures and believes. Because of this, the idea of abortion should be decided by each state and not a national law.

Just because she is 'strongly' pro-choice doesn't mean that President Trump isn't.
-And I like the way you put the word "STRONGLY" when she doesn't have that in her book-

And in closing, I would not vote to ban abortions, but I don't believe it's a valid form of birth control.

You are right: Melania did not say "strongly." That was my interpretation.

I'm not sure I want individual states to decide. First, states are diverse. Just look at Washington with the Seattle metro area and a few other "blue patches". The "culture" in Darrington sure isn't like the culture in West Seattle. So I'd argue, to JD's point, that the differences are as much *within* states as they are between states.

The other thing is that, if you believe that life is sacred from the moment of conception, you don't want a state to be able to take away the rights of that unborn person. Just like if you believe that a woman should have control over the fetus, you don't want a state to be able to take away the rights of that woman.

Let's do a survey of woman, shall we? Yes or no question: "Is the fetus a part of a woman's body." I'm pretty sure the results will be yes, overwhelmingly. (But then, I've been wrong before.)

Oh no... see the majority of women actually care more about the 1 in a million chance that they or their daughters might have to compete against a trans person in sports.

Prosecuted for miscarriage? Why would they care about that?

Degenerates need to stop using abortion as birth control.

It's not a difficult concept.

Sure, if women think they should be able to dictate when, with who, etc, and have the "right" to leave the marriage with kids and child support payments in hand and then jump on the next guy and double down on revenue streams,,,,,

Dudes should have the right to click on their mating App and click "fucking for fun" and not to reproduce.

"My body my choice!"
=
"My wallet my choice"

Right on! We have birth control items.
Use them!
Rape is another thing, abortion seems
to be the answer.
