Wildfires in CA
Wildfires in CA
Pretty ugly, lots of displaced people and homes burned to the ground. Some celebs have been bitching about it, and rightly so.
Sarah Michelle Gellar has expressed frustration with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass over the city’s response to this week’s devastating wildfires.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, 47, tagged the official social media accounts of Bass and the City of Los Angeles as she complained in a post on her Instagram Stories: “City of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping.”
Gellar is just one of many celebrities to have been forced to evacuate by a wave of catastrophic fires sweeping across southern California.
Several have blamed local government for a lack of preparedness. Salvador actor James Woods, who lost his home in the Palisades, wrote on X that the devastation caused by the fire wasn’t due to “climate change” but because of “liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass.”
“One doesn’t understand the first thing about fire management and the other can’t fill the water reservoirs,” wrote Woods.

Obviously there's a certain level of preparedness and response that political leaders are responsible for, but to blame climate change or politicians because your house burned down? These people might want to listen to what George Carlin said about that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W33HRc1A6c

Why were fires burning around LA in the first place? Was it arson?
Re: Wildfires in CA
Dropping a couple pics here - I know at least 8 people whose homes burned and the number keeps climbing - my boss was in the first wave of evacuations out of the Palisades, found out today his home survived. He showed me video of the evac - utter war zone - home on fire, cars abandoned and on fire - insane shit. The smoke in the air is beyond belief. Yeah, this is no joke. Most costly fire in history apparently - and fires keep breaking out - arson happening too.

A couple more to share.

If this is true newsome is toast. Supposedly he spent 24 billion on “homeless” and it’s all unaccounted for. Could give 2 fucks about famous people and their 7th homes.
Them living in the hills above the slums is the perfect representation of the problem with this country. They do nothing to solve the problems w. all their wealth.
I'm reading that they're investing whether it was arson, accidental arson up against brush, or accidental from a power line. Nothing about homeless people.

Re: Wildfires in CA
It sounds like the biggest problem is insurance companies canceled on these people recently, and the government failed on preparedness and response.
