Trammell wasn't ready for MLB. I don't know if he will be, but the fact that they gave him a chance earlier than he was probably ready, and struggled, doesn't mean he won't figure it out. Mike Trout had to be sent back to AAA after his first stint in MLB. To be clear, I'm not comparing him to Trout. I'm just saying that not all development is linear, and players are not all on the same trajectory.

Nelson Cruz didn't figure it out until he was 28 years old. To put it in better perspective, he was DFA'd and anybody could have claimed him. He is the poster boy for AAAA player. Sometimes it takes some hard knocks. Trammell is a great player. Give him time boys. Give him time.

Going back to hitting minor leagues and immediately mashing sure seems like first sign of a AAAA guy to me.

Maybe he can "learn" how to hit MLB pitching someday...

We thought the same way of Chris Taylor. Look at him now in L.A.

Trammell has worked his way out of being a top 10 to now mostly forgotten prospect.

Chris Taylor came out of nowhere and wasnt highly touted.

Hardly, tell that to A-Rod who floundered for 2 years in the show before he lit the world on fire or Trout's first go around in the majors. Trammell hasn't regressed out of the Top 10 anymore than Nelson Cruz wasn't a superstar until he hit his 30's and became "Boomstick." There's still a ton of talent in their, its just being able to unlock it at the next level. Yogi Berra once said "this game is 10% physical and 90% mental."

I mean fine. There's lot of talented prospects who don't end up having the head for this sorta thing.

His 43% K rate was pretty interesting to watch. He was in the bottom 1% of xWOBA lol... literally among one of the worst rated hitters in baseball.

He may make the jump later, but he may not. But too many people make snap judgements off of a small sample size of stats and don't take any context into them. Much like everyone thought Kyle Lewis was going to suck because he didn't have great numbers in AA. People ignored his H/R split and how horrible that park is for RH hitters though.

Perfectly put into context. I remember there being a ton of Lewis haters and trolls in here. Good call brother.

Definitely too early on Trammell, he never should have started in MLB this year. He's two years younger than Taylor when he was traded.

Agree 100% The key will be unlocking all that talent in the show. Look how long it took Byron Buxton to really fully grasp his potential in the majors. Trammell could be a superstar at this stage. He just needs time and a lot of hard work.

Man, did I love Diaz a few years ago, but Graveman might be my favorite reliever ever for the Mariners (granted, I've only been following for 10 years, so not a large sample size).

What Diaz did was special. I was a big David Aardsma guy back in the day. But seeing Graveman used in all types of tough situations in different parts of the game is so impressive and something I never thought Servais was capable of.

Mariners lost the hits battle, 7-5.
Does it matter? Hell, no! Seattle won the tallies battle 3~2.

But I'd sure as shit like to see more hits.

I sure as hell ain't complaining on a bullpen day vs the reigning CY Young Award Winner, Shane Bieber. I'll take a win over no hits anyday!!

I'd rather pick up even a mediocre offensive 1B in free agency than wait around for some kid who gets "mariner-ated" by this sad-sack organization. One of Freeman, Belt, or Rizzo would work for me and we probably wouldn't have to pay $30mil a year!

Rizzo I can see. No way Atlanta and SF let Freeman and Belt walk.
