Automatically put yourself at a .150 OPS disadvantage compared to the other teams DH. So dumb.

Because you don't need your DH getting on base. It's one of the few positions you can stash a SLG guy, and they wasted it on a 2B type bat that would clearly decline.

If they wanted Vidro, they'd need to let him play in the field and sign an actual bat that is capable of driving his chubby ass in once he waddled his way to first base.

Once he could no longer play in the field, he had no value because that's trash as a DH.

Vidro was 14th of 16 in OPS as a DH in his good year with the M's. Absolute trash.
