It does have some interesting legal aspects. Is agreement to "rough" sex an agreement to be assaulted? If she was rendered unconscious then an agreement would be mute. You can't have an agreement with someone who's unconscious. And yeah, even if charges are not filed she could still bring a civil case and probably clean up. And I thought I was prone to risky behavior... unbelievable

Rockies pitcher Bobby Chouinard was accused of holding a gun to his wife’s head and making her beg for her life in 2001.. He served 4 months for that and was released by the Rockies. One of my best friends, a United Airlines Pilot with a drinking problem did the same thing to his wife. He was later booked for attempted murder and fled the USA for Mexico. That was 23 years ago, he's now dead and she is remarried and Godmother to my children.

When Bud Selig was the commissioner, he was known to let the authorities take the lead and issue punishment. MLB’s policy has changed quite a bit. Bauer is not the only one under scrutiny at this time, Ozuna of the Braves also has some serious problems. Pro sports as a whole have a major problem on their hands. The MLB probably has a worse track record than the NFL at this point. I'm not a fan of Bauer nor a fan of this particular type of sexual perversion. But people are capable of doing anything they can imagine to do and with the internet, entertainment extending boundaries, relaxed drug policies, and general diminishment of moral standards.... these kinds of activities appear to be on the increase rather than decrease.

Could you imagine someone like Edgar Martinez, Jamie Moryer, or Ken Griffey Jr. doing something like this? I can't.... it seems to me these guys are all family guys, faithful to their wives..... maybe that's boring to some people... but there are immeasurable values lost in relationship when someone stoops to this abhorent behavior.... Freedom is essential, but when people exercise their freedom in bad choices and bad behavior.... they inevitably find their choices diminished and their freedoms being restricted. Besides being bad, it's just stupid.

This seems like a pretty strong denial.

"Mr. Bauer will not appeal MLB's decision to place him on administrative leave at this time in an effort to minimize any distraction to the Dodgers organization and to his teammates."

7 days is hilarious. They must think the is going to be the fastest resolution to a criminal case since Wyatt Erp hung a wrangler fer cattle thiefin 11 minutes after he caught em in 1874.

I don't get these fuckers like him and DeShawn Watson. They are young famous and have all the money in the world. They could have a harem of a half dozen of the hottest women in the country to party with. Could have threesomes, foursomes, fivesomes? Have two of them put on a hot lesbo action show while you are doing the other three but NO!!!! One of them would rather go to massage parlors and creep out the women giving him massages by exposing himself and the other likely punched the chicks lights out during sex.

Yeah, this is all in lawyers hands, the investigative department of MLB, and the Pasadena Police Department's investigative unit. Bauer's seven day hiatus is likely just a beginning. There doesn't seem to be anyway he emerges unscathed in this episode, nor her. Debauchery run off the rails.

This is not like Reese McGuire caught choking his chicken in the parking lot in front of his apartment....
