I feel for guys like Bauers. I mean, it must be really frustrating to be good enough to make it to the highest level but just barely good enough to stay there, and knowing any given day in the majors might be your last.
And what's worse is that he's not even barely good enough. He's only here because DiPoto doesn't want to admit he screwed up trading for him. Meanwhile, Marms has a 1.167 OPS at Tacoma and isn't letting up.
I think Dippo trading for him was a desperation move because of Evan White's injury and his thinking a firstbaseman was needed.
He chose poorly. Don't know if DC-S will ever amount to anything but Marmo would have been able to to equivalent of BowWowers at 1B and the OF, also would have provided more power. I'd like to see them switch places.

Here's the trade (Jake Bauers has actually been involved in 2 trades involving the M's):
December 13, 2018: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Cleveland Indians. The Tampa Bay Rays sent cash to the Seattle Mariners. The Seattle Mariners sent Carlos Santana and cash to the Cleveland Indians. The Cleveland Indians sent Yandy Díaz and Cole Sulser to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Cleveland Indians sent Edwin Encarnacion and 2019 competitive balance pick to the Seattle Mariners.

June 10, 2021: Traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later. The Seattle Mariners sent Damon Casetta-Stubbs (minors) (July 9, 2021) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Thank god hoping the Skanks just put us out of our misery. We are a complete joke. Pitching continues to dominate but this offense is a flat joke strike outs weak groundballs lazy pop outs same garbage offense over and over.

I have to admit, Seth, that they would be better off having everyone going up to the plate and bunting.

I know right this is just so damn hard to watch. We need a different approach. Need an actual hitting coach. Gotta love having coaches that don't know how to do their job. Must be so nice to get paid good money to be garbage.

Yea gotta give us a call once in a blue moon. These umps really really hate our organization. They know we don't wanna win so they are helping us out.

Nice job by Sewald holding Torres at second and punching out Gardner....

Weird how our relief pitchers who were money, including Castillo by extension, have all been lit up since the trade, but the relief pitcher we got who had been awful has been money.

I'd be surprised if we don't catch a couple pitches up and in after Sewald with the pickoff attempts on Torres at 2B with the injured hand.

Hopefully our guy wears it and comes around to score.
