I've got a feeling Fraley is a career 4th outfielder, if that. The league has figured out that he can't hit fastballs and the fluke walks have dried up.
Couldn't agree more. I made a guess a few weeks ago that he would finish the season with a .660 OPS.

I hope we're wrong.

For those of you complaining about Bauers, and with good reason I might add, keep in mind White likely wouldn't be doing a whole better had he stayed healthy.
Most people are looking at Marmalejos .371/.466/1.187 slash line wondering why he hasn't gotten a second chance to play a little first base. Especially with the 19 home runs and 7 doubles.... He's got a little more power than Bauers....
Bauers can't even get the occasional extra base hit, he's 8 for his last 50, all singles, and he does nothing but whiff in high leverage situations. It just doesn't make any sense.

Well, Marmo has had multiple chances and can't seem to hit in the majors consistently. I agree it's time to give him another shot, but I can also see why the Mariners would be skeptical. Plus, there's been some chatter that AAA pitching is down this year. I'm not sure if that's provable, but it could be the case.
As long as they continue to give Bauers and Long chances, then there is no reason to not give Marm another shot. I do believe it about AAA pitching though. Who do the Mariners have that is any good in AAA?
I had just read this article and was thinking we must have nothing in Tacoma.

From the article, 1 Prospect Each Team Should Call Up
Mariners: Aaron Fletcher, LHP (No. 15)
The Mariners have called upon their farm system often this year to help out, from bigger names like Jarred Kelenic and Logan Gilbert to bullpen contributors like Wyatt Mills and Fletcher, who has two stints with Seattle already this year. He’s been really good of late in Triple-A, allowing just one run over his last nine outings (9 2/3 IP) and he’s been really tough against lefties all year (.158 BAA).

A left handed reliever. The best starting pitchers have only been there a month, and are both pretty obviously AAAA type guys.

One thing good about the Yanks, you've gotta like Aaron Judge. Guy doesn't rest on his offense, that's for sure.
I hate the Yankees.... whether they're good or not... I hate the Yankees...

White would have been worse. At least Bauers is hitting above .200. Nearly 80 points higher than White.

I've always said he's a 4th outfielder. He's still walking and hits well against righties. It also doesn't help that he can't play more than 5 weeks at a time without getting injured.

It's the Mariner way.... edgy... and stupid. Poor at development, poor at utilization, organization is an embarrassment really...

I feel for guys like Bauers. I mean, it must be really frustrating to be good enough to make it to the highest level but just barely good enough to stay there, and knowing any given day in the majors might be your last.
And what's worse is that he's not even barely good enough. He's only here because DiPoto doesn't want to admit he screwed up trading for him. Meanwhile, Marms has a 1.167 OPS at Tacoma and isn't letting up.

I don't think Bauers would put up a 1.167 OPS in AAA right now. Even if you discount Marm's by 50% he would still be an upgrade over Bauers...

We're talking about Marms. He sucked when he was up, but he's been killing it even more than the other guys were, and if anything he is a proven extra-base hitter.
I'm aware and I agree as well as agreeing with why Bauers is still on the team (cuz Dipshito traded for him).
20 years! Soon to be 21 and still counting. The laughingstock of North American pro sports.
