Just How Good is Graveman?
His 0.70 ERA and his 0.65 WHIP each rank as the 7th best by a reliever for a season in the history of the game and if you throw out 2020 for small sample size he is 4th in both categories. The year that Eric Gagne won the Cy Young he had a 1.20 ERA and a 0.69 WHIP

Graveman's a badass. It's unfortunate we didnt have a couple option years on his contract.

And basically he was listed around the 5-6 best reliever available at the deadline
Re: Just How Good is Graveman?
I want to pour me some Gravey on next year:
Gravey
Giles
Munoz
Seawald
Swanson
Streckenrider
Castillo
Sadler
Yohan
Misiewicz
Middleton
Justus
Dunn
I think we could patch together a decent BP out of that even with the usual injuries.

With us. Slash lines against:
Joe Smith .105/.150/.158/.308
Diego Castillo .050/.259/.200/.459
With Astros
Graveman .174/.240/.174/.414
With Rays
JT Chargois .133/.263/.133/.396
All FOUR of these guys have somehow got over the trauma of being traded and have been lights out.

Re: Just How Good is Graveman?
I am hoping he liked it enough here to come back as a free agent. Once he gets a taste of the post season though, I am not sure how attractive Seattle is going to look to him.
Re: Just How Good is Graveman?
Well, Jeff Nelson came back a couple of times. Even after he was critical of the organization for it's failure to add bats for the post season. But then that was during a time when we were in the playoffs nearly every year. So I guess he's not a good comparison.
