Your right of course but its far more accurate than saying they would have the exact same record like PBJ seems to think we would. Blown saves are pretty quantifiable as are game winning runs and RBI. The evidence indicates that they would have a better record without the trade.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 12:36 pmAgain, WAY too simplistic to say the you can just extract his bat and the game would have gone exactly the same way minus his contributions. Every action has a reaction. Every outcome from his ABs created a new scenario.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 4:45 amName one.
There isn't a game they won that they would have lost without his bat. he hit Home runs in two games that we lost and his 3rd home run was a solo shot in a game we won by 2 runs. He has 8 RBI 6 of which came in losses 1 was the a fore mentioned solo homer in the 4-2 game and the 8th RBI came in a 9-3 win. He has scored 11 runs. 4 of those came in losses, and the rest came in wins of 9-5, 8-2 4-2 and 2-0.
If you want to say that the the other players might not have done as well without Toro in the lineup that's fine. I'll just pull the Michael K and say they would have performed better without the distraction of the trade. That point is equally as valid.
