Interesting look at pure defensive ability from out guys. This is UZR/150 so it doesn't include Positional adjustment and it level for playing time by projecting to 150 games. Look how horrid JK is and Fraley for that matter.

With JK, there may be some small sample size aspect to this. Earlier in the summer he was rated +1 on Fangraphs DEF metric and then it started going downhill. But all the same, he's probably not a "good" centerfielder, which is why I made that comment the other day that I thought CF was a problem with no fix on the horizon. I wonder if Noelvi could be converted from SS to CF like Adam Jones was, but I've not heard a whiff of that thinking from any of the prospect sources. Harry Ford could probably do it, but it seems like they want him at catcher for now, and he's years away anyway. If he has to play CF next year, I hope JK can be sort of consistently in the -1 to +1 range, but that might be asking too much. As for Fraley, I don't think much of him. He's a fringe major leaguer in my opinion.

Yeah agree. Just horrendous luck that KLew has had all the injuries. He seemed fine out there.

I mostly don't think about the guy. Seems like there's some talent there but I doubt he ever plays a full major league season.

Soto just missed a grand slam with one out in the eighth, but the fly ball drove in the tying run. Washington and Boston headed for the ninth inning knotted at 1-1.

Fraley may be fringe, but he's still pretty much a rookie and he's second on the team in OBP and sixth in OBP above Crawford and within 3 points of Seager. He's second in stolen bases for the M's and he's got 9 home runs... but that's with only 211 plate appearances compared to 611 for Crawford and Haniger.

We are facing a nobody and looks to be bullpen game for them. Great that doesent work out for us. These games offense goes dead. Time to wake up with huge explosion.

So are you pulling the UW/M's two-fer again? You can watch one team get eliminated from the playoffs and the other eliminated from respectability at the same time. :P

i'll be pulling that two-fer, but as for eliminating respectability - think that ship sailed about 4 weeks ago.

Last time mariners lost they went on a mini win streak. Gotta start that again. COME ON JUST WIN OUT.
