Haven't been much of a Sims fan, but loved this call, and especially seeing how he was rooting along, love it!

Dare I say that was the "Biggest" clutch hit since Edgar in '95?! Not "THE" biggest, but the biggest since.

Later at some point during the broadcast he said in all his years as writer/broadcaster around the country this was the most fun he'd ever had. That scored a few points for him in my book.

The Angel starter tomorrow is a sack of crap with a 7.11 ERA, while we've got Anderson going.
So, this means he will have a career game, because Mariners are bad against bad starters. Hopefully we can get his pitch count up before it gets too late, then beat up on relievers.
Washington go with Joan Adon to make her* major league debut. Adds another level of randomness to the final day.

* Joan is a girl's name in the UK.

Mariners win! We're HEROES!!!

So if we win tomorrow and either the Red Sox or Yankees lose, we live to play another day.

Red Sox starting Sale, but he'll be limited to six innings at the most. Nationals starter is making his MLB debut. Yankees starting Taillon whos been lousy, but the Rays are starting Wacha who's even lousier.

The Angel starter tomorrow is a sack of crap with a 7.11 ERA, while we've got Anderson going.

I'm in Vegas for Softball National Championships. Twelve teams left out of 46 and we're one of four 5-0 teams. Wish us luck.
Funny there are also 12 teams left in the MLB playoff race.

And by the way..... Congratulations to D-Train and/or Linda for winning the game projection contest... It will be either 90 or 91 or 92 games... So you figured out a way to win.... amazing
Can’t be Lynda. M’s have 90. Only one left to play.
I prognosticated 90.
When we win #91 tomorrow, nobody wins the contest.
Nobody chose 91. Damn! That Nobody character is good.
(Darren will be a winner because he gets to keep his $100).
Not that it matters but I just realized it can be Lynda. Tie breaker games are considered part of the regular season so Monday counts if it happens.

Wild win.

Would have been a serious downer to be eliminated today, at least we get to survive or go down on our own terms in game 162.

It's big for the young guys to experience this.

I remember a rookie Derek Jeter sitting in the dugout looking at his dejected teammates in '95 when the M's came back to beat the Yankees in the ALDS. It burns in my mind - what must have been going through his mind, how motivating it must have been to be in that moment. He only played in 15 games in '95, won the ROY in '96 and the Yankees would go on to win the WS in 1996,1998 and 1999 with him leading them at SS.

This is big for Kelenic and Raleigh to see.
