If I live to be a 1000 years old I will never understood the obsession that some dudes have with what other dudes wear when they play sports. I always wonder when they go to weddings do they obsess about the groom and groomsmen's wardrobes???
I have an extreme bias towards the uniforms my team wore during the earliest and most impressionable years of my life that i followed them. I want the silver helmets and pants back along with the old logo, i want to see those tridents back on the ballcaps, and if the Sonics ever come back i want them in the green and gold with that old logo with the space needle. Must be due to OCD and my arts background.

Production from the DH position by contending teams- or guys brought in to fill the void in Tampas case.

The Mariners and Blue Jays missed the playoffs by about a half a DH...

People make a mistake comparing our DH to what the average team gets out of their DH, instead of compared to what contending teams get from theirs. Only teams that are trying to contend are going to pay for a DH, of course the rest will suck

They're the teams we're going to have to be better than in the end. The Rays are a smart enough org to recognize where they were lacking and make a move to fix it.

If we are going to sign a DH, can we get one that actually plays a position? So that way he can share time with Kyle Lewis and anybody else that needs a day off?

If the DH is a .900 OPS bat and Kyle Lewis and his .750 OPS needs a day off, give him the day off.

Or give the DH the day off if he doesn't play a position. Let either of them pinch hit like the Red Sox have done with Schwarber.

I'll take a DH using a roster spot over a 13th pitcher that Servais can put in high leverage positions anyday. Versatility from your DH is the wrong focus. Adding the most offense possible should be the only thing that matters. We already have plenty of versatile players.

I'm not going to act like Nelson Cruz/Kyle Schwarber would be in Kyle Lewis's way of at bats. Lewis doesn't deserve their at bats.

Sox saying the got Schwarber to play first base

“It wouldn’t surprise me if [Schwarber played first base] this week or at the end of next weekend,” Cora said. “He’s a guy we got to play first base. He’s going to create balance in the lineup. Obviously, his bat is a presence for us but at the same time, with him playing first base, it makes lives a lot easier for the manager and for everybody around him. Let’s see where he’ll take us.

Probably does make life easier given they already have JD Martinez at DH.

Schwarber can even play LF, defense-first people just don't like it.

I'm fine with whoever we get to DH playing the field if they can, I just don't think it's a prerequisite.

Guessing this might surprise you. Maybe instead of worrying about if our DH can play defense we should worry about if our OFers can play defense. Schwarber would likely be an upgrade defensively over all of our OFers other than Mitch.
