There is no way JRam is going to be traded.

It will be interesting what they do, claim they aren't rebuilding, but they been dancing around the issue for years.

For me Cleveland is the cautionary tale for the risk of rebuilding. Remember them setting records for sellout crowds, then they blew things up and never recovered

You don't know this at all.

They were shopping him and listening to teams at the deadline, just didn't pull the trigger. They'd be foolish to keep him considering their entire lineup besides him and Franmil is awful.

It is not as awful as you think. They had a ton of young players play ok.
1b 25 aged Bradley a 99 OPS+
2B had a 100 OPS+
SS Amed Rosario had a 99 OPS+
CF (26) Myles Straw had a 104 OPS+

Again they were a .500 club with their Aces out and they will be back next year. They have a 42.5 million salary for their 40-man.
They have 2 aces and a good 3rd starter. They have a 24 and 25 year old that threw pretty well 94, and 89 ERA+

Their holes are so easy to fix 2 corner outfielders Mark Canha 114 OPS+ career made less than 7 million and was worth 2.5 WAR last year.
How about Starling Marte 4.7 WAR 131 OPS+ last year 116 OPS+ career he made 12.5 M last year I could see them both being signed for less than 30 M for both per year

Their catchers were 50 OPS+ grab Mike Zunino, Yan Gomes, Robinson C has a 100 OPS+ career and a 107 last year, or any one of several possible upgrades 6-8M gets you a guy like Robinson Chirinos.

1B there are 4 upgrades I would probably just role with their young 1B with the 99 OPS+ and hope he breaks out or improves a bit but C= +50 points of OPS+, and 2X 25 OPS+ points I think that 93 OPS+ offense will naturally improve as the 20 something figure it out but those hundred points = 104 OPS+ offense.

ANd that is adding something like 36 or so to the 42.5M and remember they already have 2 aces and an MVP type.

If they are "shopping" J-Ram they are shoppingh the Aces. Sorry, I have not heard a lot about Shane Beiber being on the block.

the person that covers them for MLB.com seems to think he doesn't get traded...That is the feeling I am getting
Ramírez’s option ($11 million) will absolutely be picked up -- it’s a matter of whether the team will hold on to him or be open to trading him. But with the new Guardians chapter for this organization beginning in 2022 on the heels of one of its most disappointing seasons in recent memory, it’d be shocking if the club decided to get rid of its fan-favorite All-Star third baseman. The best guess for right now is that Ramírez will be on the 2022 roster.
