What teams need a player like this? Corner outfielder with meh defensive metrics, but a pretty good hitter, and going into his age 30 season. Seems like a good pickup but I wonder if his market might be a bit soft. Seems like one of those guys that holds out for a five year deal but ends up signing for three plus an option.

But ultimately we're talking about Corey. Corey is his own person and if the M's FO comes out and offers Corey a massive, top-of-the-market contract to come join the Mariners, you don't think he's going to seriously entertain that, if not sign?? And if Corey is going to join the club you just had 11 years with, and you relish the idea of playing with your brother and competing in the playoffs, you're not going to think hard about that chance, even if Dipoto is a douche and says you're not guaranteed an everyday job anymore? When you still have numerous friends on the team? And your brother is going there?

It's just not going to happen. I know you want it to, but it's not.

I Canha believe the Jays are actually gonna go for Ramirez!

Canha is such a great OBP guy. If we had Canha and France bat 1-2 everytime in the order, we'd always have the first two guys on base to start the game every night.

This just triggered my a painful memory of my same excitement in seeing Ichiro and Figgins together. I thought we'd see three double-steals a game.

It turned out the only double steals were actually "donkey" cashing a paycheck twice a month!

Give me Scherzer, Verlander, or Greinke. No long term burdens there.
