He has been trending down the last 3 years from a revalation career high in 2019 162 ERA+, 2020 133, 2021 114. Career 117. I have not researched his velocity trends. His Fip last year was just under 4 and he is projected to be about his career average of 117 ERA+ 3.95 ERA he has 10M for next year and a 12M club option for 2023.
He is not an Ace but he could fill in a decent shot at being a #2.
Ok I took a quick look at Brooks and his average is really consistant down a little bit but if you look at max velocities earlier in his career he could reach back for mid 97 MPH when needed. Now he is down to mid 95s max.

They have his mid value at 28M. That would seem a bit high would you pay him 50 million for 2 years?
Oh I got this idea from glancing here:

Sonny Gray?
Re: Sonny Gray?
If you put a lot of faith in their values the cost would be Hancock or Ford + a couple of top 30 types. Or maybe Lewis and Arroyo
Re: Sonny Gray?
I think he's a #4 starter. He'd be good to get, but I'm not giving up the farm for him.
Re: Sonny Gray?
A package of Sonny Gray, Jesse Winker, Amir Garrett and the underwater contract of Mike Moustakas should not cost much in trade.
The issue is whether to Mariners are willing to take on those financial obligations.

Re: Sonny Gray?
Hecks yes, Mouse cancels out Gray's value plus 1M, Garrett is a lefty OF with a 128 OPS+ bat
I see the third is a LGBP which we need but need a good one and he isn't that unless you think he has the raw goods to be one.
