OT: Sounders epic playoff failure
According to Chuck on KJR the Sounders outshot Real Salt Lake 21-0 and still lost the game on penalty shots. They are one and done despite being the #2 seed in the West. That is like an NFL team outgaining their opponent 600 to 50 yards but missing on numerous field goal attempts and turning the ball over on downs several times before losing 3-0 in overtime after turning it over at their own 25 yard line. I really feel bad for all those scummy Seattle soccer fans.

I have seen that before. Wasted three hours watching the Huskies play Colorado. The Sounders probably have three players that have never played American Football but could have played QB better than Morris did.

Here's the box score...
Re: OT: Sounders epic playoff failure
Reason number 57 why soccer is an idiotic sport. They played two full hours and couldn't score a single goal.
Also, all they have to do is either make the teams pull the goalies or not allow the goalie to use his hands and they would score in a reasonable time frame in OT. The purists will scream like bitches but it is similar to starting with a runner on second in a baseball and 1000x more pure than the ridiculous shootouts. How can they not come up with the simple vastly superior solution.

Even with no goalie it would take the Sounders 7 shot attempts to score one goal, so it might take a while.

Re: OT: Sounders epic playoff failure
Shootouts and penalty kicks are not only the stupidest way to decide postseason soccer games, but incredibly this extends all the way up to the World Cup Final. The first time I ever saw that done in a WCF I was in complete disbelief. How can any purist soccer fan be on board with that? Soccer and its fans are stupid.
Even in the NHL, while they have shootouts after 3-on-3 overtime to decide who gets that second point, in the playoffs they go right back to 5-on-5.

I don't hate soccer. I just hate all these stupid clueless hipsters that are paying $50 a seat to watch what is the equivalent of Single A baseball. They don't have a clue that they are watching a garbage level of soccer. They are just there to wear there little scarves and do their little chants and act like pretentious European wannabes.

I did tell you that my college room mates came up with 57 for a random number and used it every time they told a story that involved estimating a number?
