Interesting. All makes sense. Julio stays put. (s/b #1) JK and Gilbert graduate, Marte slides a bit after a good but not great year. Kirby sky rockets close to the top 10, Brash makes a solid debut based on a great season and BW solidly cracks the top 100. Very good news overall.

Thanks for posting, Gabe.

Here is the overall top 25:

1 Adley Rutschman Orioles C
2 Julio Rodriguez Mariners OF
3 Bobby Witt Jr. Royals SS
4 Riley Greene Tigers OF
5 Spencer Torkelson Tigers 1B
6 Grayson Rodriguez Orioles RHP
7 Gabriel Moreno Blue Jays C
8 Shane Baz Rays RHP
9 CJ Abrams Padres SS
10 Anthony Volpe Yankees SS
11 Keibert Ruiz Nationals C
12 George Kirby Mariners RHP
13 Francisco Alvarez Mets C
14 Oneil Cruz Pirates SS
15 Marcelo Mayer Red Sox SS
16 Brennen Davis Cubs OF
17 Marco Luciano Giants SS
18 Noelvi Marte Mariners SS
19 Triston Casas Red Sox 1B
20 Corbin Carroll D-Backs OF
21 Tyler Soderstrom Athletics C
22 Zac Veen Rockies OF
23 Diego Cartaya Dodgers C
24 Jordan Walker Cardinals 3B
25 Jack Leiter Rangers RHP

My only real issue with this list is including recent draftees Marcelo Mayer at #15 and Jack Leiter at #25. I think it's silly to put players from the most recent draft on these lists. It's basically just hype.

Six catchers in the top 25 is kind of interesting. Lots of shortstops too, but that's always the case.

I'm fine with it. They were drafted based on that "hype" so no reason not to rank them based on it. btw Meyer had a .817 OPS in 26 pro games.

The big non surprising buzz kill is Hancock dropping completely out of the top 100

Hancock had dropped, in my view first part of last season. I wanted to trade him before his value dropped on the national scale.... Marcello should have been the first pick of the 2021 draft, that he would fall to the Red Sox in the 4 slot was just the rich getting richer. The Red Sox tanked the 60 game season and stole the best draft prospect in baseball Now they have four players in the top 100 not counting Blaze Jordan and the most improved farm in baseball..
I expect Marte to drop more but I hope I'm wrong.... A lot is riding on pitching development and I want to see the pitcher and other in the M's farm begin to climb higher in the rankings.... Should be a really good year for the M's in the minors with potential championships from Modesto, Arkansas, and the Rainiers...

My guy Harry Ford did not crack the Top 100 despite a good start. Kahlil Watson, who we could have taken instead, checks in at #60. Watson is about 2 months younger than Ford.
Baseball America released their 2022 MLB Top 100 prospects list, featuring Eury Pérez (No. 48), Kahlil Watson (No. 60), Sixto Sánchez (No. 64), Edward Cabrera (No. 69) and Max Meyer (No. 74). Seems as though Jake Eder just barely missed the cut.

If only they believed in Ford as much as you did from Day 1 :)
The poster formerly known as Kingfelixk. With a new forum comes a new boardname. Julio is my guy, plus we share a birthday, so that's Culiooooo

I so wanted the Mariners to draft Zac Veen over Hancock. Could you imagine your 3 hole hitter being Julio and Veen as cleanup????

That of a great JRod/Adley R. analogy. Would have been like rating Sandy Alomar Jr. a highly ranked prospect catcher above Griffey in 1989. Alomar was also 3 years older.

A New York Yankee fan proposes a trade of one season of Aaron Judge to Seattle for Julio Rodriguez and George Kirby:
