Re: Pick'em league
How does Mahomes go from having a 152 QB rating in the first half to a 15 in the second half? Did the Bengals change their defensive approach at halftime and if so what precisely did they do differently?

Re: Pick'em league
watching that game, I couldn't help thinking how much he sucks. He made about 5 or 6 bad or plain stupid plays that should've resulted in turnovers that didn't. It's like the anti-Seahawks luck, since the ball bounces in some weird way it always seems to end up in the opponents' hands.
Anyway, I won the week again! Seventh time. Yet I'm still last overall somehow.

The choke-artist Rams versus a team that owns them, and the Chiefs with Mahomes in juggernaut mode versus a decent but not-ready-for-the-show Bengals unit.
Chiefs and 49ers in the Bowl. I guarandamntee it.
Seriously, I'd love to see the Bengals beat the Rams, but the NFL won't allow it. They've wanted the Rams to have a home game in the Super Bowl all season.

And the Rams have a home game and the Bengals can still beat them. lolSeattleAddict wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 7:17 amJust in case y'all forgot...SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 9:04 pmBengals and Rams it is, then!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 6:26 pmThis next week-end looks like a slam dunk. btw I am sure that you were joking but that has to be the dumbest Sports oriented conspiracy theory of all time. But half of Seahawks Twitter are still convinced that the NFL was willing to completely destroy the integrity of a multi billion dollar business because they wanted to make sure the 2700 Rams fans in LA would be at the Super Bowl.

We all know that the seats will be filled no matter who makes the Super Bowl. And the Advertising Revenue that is already there. So I seriously doubt that the League really cares who makes it to the game. The only thing that might change would be the viewing audience. And that sets the revenue for following years, but not by much.

Re: Pick'em league
My logic wasn't very good as Mahomes wasn't all there and the Rams are just a better team than SF and beating a team 3 times in a season is extremely rare.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 7:17 amJust in case y'all forgot...SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 9:04 pmBengals and Rams it is, then!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 6:26 pmThis next week-end looks like a slam dunk. Re: Pick'em league
He seriously had some brain farts. He looks like his crazy brother and wife have messed with his head. BUT, Andy Reid had a TERRIBLE game. The end of both halves was Pete Carroll hormonal ridiculous play callingly bad. All they had to do was run the ball at the end of the 4th quarter and they probably win on a late TD. But, he couldn't help himself...and settle for a 45 yard FG after losing like 25 yards on three plays!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 1:28 amHow does Mahomes go from having a 152 QB rating in the first half to a 15 in the second half? The end of the first half? Epic stupidity. Think second and goal and Fake FG against Atlanta all tied into one. That said, not one target for what is really their only redzone target in Kelce? They don't have that guy they can throw the fade to, but spreading them out and running the ball, or even calling a QB draw just might have worked. Instead? They looked in the Redzone like a team, TWICE, that has no idea how to play offense.
I don't know how Chief fans are handling this, but Russell, Pete and Waldron would be getting killed by the ten or so fans that post in here if we lost that way. The media would have come up with sixteen excuses by now.

I am half joking. The NFL wouldn't actively conspire to get them to the Super Bowl, but I do believe they want the big-market teams to win, ESPECIALLY LA. There have been so many failed franchises in LA (including the Rams), they continually have a hard time keeping teams there. There's huge money in having a big fan base in LA, and they have shown time and again when the team sucks, the fans don't show up. When presented a chance to make something favorable for an LA team or a small market team, they will jump at it. I truly believe that was a factor in rescheduling that game earlier. If the roles were reversed, it would've been "too bad, so sad" and we would've had to play with 30 guys.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:26 pm

They didn't want to risk a half empty stadium if it was say the Cowboys and Chiefs.....
Actively cheating? No. Conspiracy? No. Unspeakable greed in trying to maximize profits? yep.
Re: Pick'em league
I think I would agree with other sports but I would think the SB ratings are least impacted by the size of the market of the teams that play. I mean you have school kids in Bangladesh and Nuns in Romania watching that game.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 5:01 pmI am half joking.
