Damn Sexy was right. They are dissing the QBs.
I felt like Pickett was the best of the bunch though. And you know how the media likes to hype QB's. I'm sad we didn't get Linderbaum. But I'm hoping we can grab Jurgens at 40 or 41. Would love to rebuild this Oline and run the ball down some MFer's throats.
You nailed it. I figured they would all fall in love with intangibles and combine stats. Willis looks good in shorts and Pickett has small hands, blah blah. That said, we may still end up with Willis!
Very possible. Lots of options at 40/41. They could go any direction. I like taking a guy at 40, then trade back into the middle 2nd and grab an extra pick, maybe 4th or a 5th.

the more I think about it, the less I think they'll draft Willis, or any QB. If they did, they'd have to cut either Lock or Smith. You just traded for Lock so not going to cut him, and just signed Smith like a week ago, and would be paying him 3.5m for his veteran experience. You aren't going to have a prospect sit behind ANOTHER prospect. And Willis would be snapped up if you tried to sneak him onto the practice squad.

Of course it's the Seahawks, so who dafuq knows, but it doesn't make any sense.

Still plenty of holes to fill, and there's half a dozen really good looking players on the board. Hopefully things will break right and we get two of them - if not, time to trade back.

Totally agree. Lock is their guy for 2022 and if he falters its Geno time.

Geno's contact has almost no guarantee. If they like Willis, cutting Geno will be of no hinderance.

I'll be surprised if they grab a QB in the 2nd round - this draft really seems to be about rebuilding the foundation on both sides of the ball. I'm looking forward to seeing what Lock can do. Wilson's sweet spot was always around 225-250 yards for Seattle's most success - I see no reason why Lock can't duplicate that. He's walking into a no-pressure situation - it's perfect for the Seahawks too - they can always chase another QB next year if he doesn't pan out - there is no rush. We just need to duplicate the production. The offense is already upgraded. My buddy is the head of sport at William Morris, we were talking about the Wilson trade - he thinks Wilson is overrated and Seattle won that trade. I think Lock can definitely duplicate and even exceed Wilson. He's got a pretty damn good receiver/TE/RB group around him - and that's before the draft is done.

I like how the 2nd round is going so far. All my choices are still on the board, meaning we will have shots at two primo guys. Of course, I don't expect to actually take those guys, but there is hope.

Ohhhhh boy. He must have been scared of Seattle getting him. Wow. Didn’t expect that.
