He is most likely mashing fastballs which is okay, it's what he was sent down to do. It's batting practice, as they said, remind him he is a good hitter. He will be back soon, go back to work trying to figure out ML hitting.

Jarred Kelenic continues to mash at Tacoma, going 3-for-5 Sunday with a home run, double and five RBI, for a .348 batting average and 1.052 OPS:

Kelenic will figure it out at the MLB level. Right?
And no Ks....He had to be working on something those first few games when he had the 50% K rate.

Maybe just fast balls but AAA pitchers know how to through breaking balls for strikes. Not great ones but still. Can't imagine they are throwing a former top prospect one fastball after another.

Hancock pitched 4 scoreless yesterday, with 3 K's.

The biggest difference between AAA and MLB pitching is quality and command on breaking pitches. MLB pitchers will throw their junk in any count and they will hit their spots with it. AAA pitchers leave a lot more breaking pitches hanging and when they are behind in the count they pump fastballs.

And it doesn't break as hard, you don't see the real nasty stuff in AAA

Yep and the difference between JK and Julio right now is Julio can already handle it and JK can't. The million dollar question is if JK has hit his hand eye coordination ceiling or not.

Is it weird that a power lifter only has 5 x base hits in 143 PAs?

Arroyo has 18.
