Pujols—King of the Rotten Contracts!
Pujols—King of the Rotten Contracts!
In year 8 of 10, in year 4 under .250, owed another 50 mil, makes the M’s Beltre contract look ok.

Watch an Angels broadcast some time.
All they can talk about when Pujols is at the dish is his past.
Meanwhile, his OPS+ the last 3 seasons is only 17 points below the league average. Oh and he's due to make $59 million in 2020 and 2021.
My friend who is an Angels fan was complaining about their pitching staff this year... yeah that's what happens when you sign stupid contracts that pay 3 players $100 million.
Re: Pujols—King of the Rotten Contracts!
Here is an incredible piece of Pujols trivia. He knocked in the same player for RBI number 2 as he did for RBI numer 2000!

Re: Pujols—King of the Rotten Contracts!
They gave long-term contracts to Pujols, Josh Hamilton and C.J. Wilson. Not one of those three came even remotely close to playing up to those contracts and it seems to have stuck them in perpetual mediocrity (YAY!).
However, I think the last one they gave out might work out pretty well for them. Not too long ago I drove by Angel Stadium (as I do every work day) and I saw on their Big A tower "LOYALTY" with a picture of Mike Trout. Suuuuuuuuuuuure, that's it.

That contract won’t work out either, virtually none do.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 6:04 pmThey gave long-term contracts to Pujols, Josh Hamilton and C.J. Wilson. Pujols’ numbers were substantially better than Trout, when he signed the Big One, 180 Mil Less!
More like “LOYALTY” with a picture next to $$$$, yayyyyyyy!
