Also Dollard finally gave up a few runs last night but still having a great season.

He looks like the real deal to me. If Dollard and Hancock live up to their potential. Could have an even more special rotation than we already do.

I sunr know what Dollars potential is. Only throws 92-94, but dominating in AA. He's at least got potential to be Chris Flexen or slightly better. I'd be fine trading Flexen in the offseason in lieu of Dollard/ Hancock.

If he turns into Chris Flexen that would be a HUGE "W" for this organization! What was he, a 4th, 5th?

He's also a switch-thrower! He pitches left handed too.

Originally I had a safe floor of Enrique Hernandez, but that's changed now. He's beginning to enter uncharted territory for me. Maybe a poor man's Xander Bogaerts?

Last year's write up on him: Arroyo is a switch-hitter who hits best as a right-hander. He makes good contact and has a solid approach, making him a weapon at the plate. Further, while not an elite runner, he does possess the quickness needed to be a talented hitter and fielder. In addition to his quickness, Arroyo is a driven player who gives hustle and effort nonstop. One of the youngest prospects in the draft, Arroyo’s dedication to the game does not go unnoticed.

In the field, Arroyo is the definition of a true athlete. In addition to batting both left- and right-handed, he can actually throw with both hands, too. While he plays shortstop as a right-hander, Arroyo took the mound as a southpaw in high school. While he’s not going to pitch in pro ball, this dual-threat ability is another indication of his incredible athleticism. At shortstop, he has range, quickness, impressive glovework, and a great arm. Arroyo also possesses versatility, so while he projects as a shortstop long-term, there is no doubt that he could adapt to a utility role if needed.

Remember the doom and gloom of last year. Who was it that predicted he never pitches in the majors? Shoot maybe the mariners actually handled him correctly :

Please. They aren't handling any of their young SPs correctly. The entire reason why they have to be careful w/ Kirby this yr is b.c they didn't let the kid pitch in '19, 20 or '21. He should have pitched a minimum of 100 innings each yr, 120 being more of a target. And don't give me "well, he had shoulder fatigue." Shoulder fatigue. That's hilarious. Like Kikuchi going down w/ a neck issue. Maybe it was serious, maybe it wasn't. But I do think if Kirby was allowed to really get after it last yr, every 5-6 days, 6+ innings, 90+ pitches, he would never have had this shoulder fatigue issue. He was given too much rest, did very little pitching

I don't understand what's hilarious about shoulder fatigue. It's an unstable shoulder, it's treated with rest. But that's neither here nor there because it doesn't matter how serious an injury it is the answer is to just pitch them. Cool, who needs doctors, certainly simplifies things

The point is that the only let them pitch 3-5 innings once a week and they still get shoulder fatigue and then the next season the say they have to limit their innings because their idiot plan to limit their innings completely back fired so they didn't pitch enough innings. It is a self imposed vicious cycle that they only have themselves to blame.

Arroyo has been so fucking good. He's Ketel Marte with better defense, and power that shows up in the minors.

Dollard was a 5th rounder in the 2020 draft which was 5 rounds iirc. Not sure what that would be equal to in a regular draft
