It was odd to see Moore hit a home run then sit the next day. Then the day after that hit another home run, and then doesn't start for the next 2 days.

Here's hitting stats for the second half. We'll see how the season finishes out.

That was just a great at-bat by Shed to get us two runs, followed by Maalox grounding into two and killing the inning.

I'm surprised Kikuchi had 20 at-bats in Japan, depending on their rules one would think that he'd either have a lot of them, or none at all.

from a quick look, seems the Pacific league in Japan has the DH but the Central league doesn't, so I guess you could get the same sort of situation there as here, pitchers batting a few times...

Except that he played several years in Japan, it's just weird that he would only have pitched one or two games per season in Central League parks given the number of games in a season and total teams overall. They must play a heavy schedule within their own division.

I think Dylan Moore has looked good enough in spurts to keep around..but at age 27 he gets a much shorter leash than if he were 23.
Maybe he just used psychology on me as a fan with that horrendous MLB debut..then gradually battling back from it like a real trooper...

If Mariners let Dylan Moore leave, he'll have at least 1 big season like Chris Taylor or BradMiller. He struggled early in the season, but was a rookie and improved. He was pretty good in the minors outside 1 season in 2017
