Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League Thread
I was actually going to message you about this exact player yesterday, but I got caught up doing other things. His value right now on trade market is half what Reynolds value is equal to. Though Boston isn't shopping, nor would they trade Devers away without making a real legitimate run at him. This is going to be another "stupid money" contract. And one I would be all aboard for. I expect Devers to cash in at over $400M.bpj wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 2:36 am"We need to conserve our money to extend our young players."

Not to mention that they do things like let Freddie Freeman walk so they have room to trade for Matt Olson and extend him.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 11:29 amGeno was just a Godsend the past season, if he regresses to 2021 we are F-dSexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 9:37 amI was actually going to message you about this exact player yesterday, but I got caught up doing other things. The Mariners find a guy like France who is ok and they act like the position is all set, even if they could easily improve.

Again, if it works they look smart. If it doesn't they are fine because they will be making money. It's a vicious cycle.
