Package of Woo or Miller plus MORE pitching thinks is all it would take to pry Arenado out of ST. Louis.

Jesus, Marte is hitting .333 with a .935 OPS in July in AAA and isn't even 22 yo. He will be a Sept call up.

Still don’t like trading him for Castillo. He’s exactly what the mariners need. He could play 2B for a year, then take over for Geno at 3B. Meanwhile we are trying to figure out which starter we trade for a player who won’t be near as good as Marte.
Agreed. I loved getting Castillo, but knowing what I know now, would never have made that trade. Although Castillo did get us to the playoffs. And even though our W-L differential isn't that good with him, run support is never a pitcher's fault. We should've easily won at least half of his losses.
He’s not getting the room support, and it’s been a problem with other pitchers as well. I was the most critical of the trade at the time. Extending Castillo made it better, then not doing anything in the off-season to get better just made it make no sense. Just half assed approach for everything they do. Half Assed rebuild by holding onto Haniger, and half assed approach to the season merely replacing RF and 2B, praying Kelenic figured it out, and doing nothing at DH. Their contingency plan was a 35 year old on a sharp decline the last few years

He is on the record as saying he will only wave the no-trade class for LA

Well there you go. Bummer, the Dodgers organization is just as bad as ours.

But they spend money.

Common Jerry. He was on the radio saying they are not even in the "Red Zone" on any deals. God this cheap ass organization.

He's a freak. I regret the trade big time. Castillo's good, but Marte will be better. Wonder what it would take to pry Marte away from Cincy. They don't even really have a spot for him. We need him at 3b, move Geno to 1b

If I had my druthers, I'd move Bryan Woo. I don't think he's nearly as good as the rest of the guys we have. Hell, I'd even be for trading Castillo for a massive haul. Maybe we could land Henderson and Holiday from the O's?
