Hard to believe that Canzone can hit for a career .933 OPS in the minors and never sniff a top prospects list. M's I think are wanting to hope that he's their Mitch Haniger who didn't get his start until age 25/26.

Bliss carries a lot of pop in his bat for 5'6... profile is extremely Altuveish. Altuve only hit for an .854 OPS during the minors and turned into a monster during his AA year like Bliss has. He never really played AAA ball before his jump to the majors.

M's have to believe the bats really play and have been overlooked... much like France and Haniger were.
Agreed, and seems like a good return for Sewald.

I like that there is less anger this season after they set the precedent with Graveman.

A good, sustainable organization has to get something in return for players with expiring contracts when the playoffs aren't a sure thing.

We had another season of Sewald, but I appreciate that they sold high.

Ty France is on the trade block.
Evan White should be healthy afterall...

And we know the Mariners don't just give up on guys making $15M across the next two seasons.
Isn't he you're favorite player?

M's save about $3.5 million in the trades.

Munoz now needs to become “the guy” and brash as well. I’m excited to see how Berroa and Campbell develop as well.
The poster formerly known as Kingfelixk. With a new forum comes a new boardname. Julio is my guy, plus we share a birthday, so that's Culiooooo

We dodged that bullet

You know Jerry drops his pants every time he deals with the Rays.

The M's will probably select Sadler pretty soon.

Looks like he was smart - it would take an almost Ohtani-like haul for me to trade one of Gilbert or Kirby. I haven't understood the idea of trading either of them unless the haul is just a raping of the other club. Woo or Miller sure - they are replaceable but not those 2. Next year you got those 2 with Castillo and Ray by mid-season and then in the offseason one of Ray/Castillo will get traded during the offseason as it will be time to sign/extend both of the young guys.

Seems like a great return for Sewald. It's pretty surprising, actually.

Do all players have their photographs taken in green-screen/chroma-key friendly uniforms at the start of each season or something? All the trades in the league have generic faces photoshopped into their new teams shirts and caps.

Fake news 🤣 and looks a bit shit.

Amazing how 5'6" Bliss is as tall as 6'1" Rojas in that pic.
