Yeah, that is how the Patriots keep winning Super Bowls right? Same offense, same defense every year, week in and week out, it's just that for the past two decades no one has figured out how to stop it!Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 4:40 pmyeah, winning ballgames is about executing your offense and your defense, its not casting around trying to find something new, you are not going to trick anybody. Concentrate on what you do and doing it well

Re: How to beat SF.
I wasn't talking year to year, I don't think coaches should be changing offenses and defenses during the season as much as trying to execute what they intend to do. I think Belichick is about preparation and attention to detail. If you don't think PC has adopted enough that's fine. Hey, he is old, he will be gone pretty soon, then there will someone else to complain about

So, in your opinion, the only way to change a strategy is to do so in the off season? 16 game plans, they are all the same until the next year?
Re: How to beat SF.
Winning teams don't change their strategy mid season or game to game. And no Patriots don't either. Same offense and defense each week.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 5:47 pmSo, in your opinion, the only way to change a strategy is to do so in the off season? 16 game plans, they are all the same until the next year?

If you say so. Every single thing I read or hear about the Patriots say otherwise. But what I will do is believe you.ThePro wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 5:59 pmWinning teams don't change their strategy mid season or game to game. And no Patriots don't either. Re: How to beat SF.
When you watch the Patriots, can you call out the plays they are going to run based on down, distance and personnel? Because I may not watch them as much as the Hawks, but I can't...but with the Hawks? My 12 year old son tells me most of the Hawks plays before the snap. I am guess that so can opposing coordinators.
Good lord, Sam Darnold wasn't "seeing Ghosts" because he looked at the Patriot defense and recognized it base on all the tape he had watched.

I agree that they can execute at a high level and beat anyone. And as you say, it's something they've yet to achieve.ThePro wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 4:37 pmWhy do they have to show them something they haven't seen before? They can execute at a high level and beat anyone. That's something they've yet to achieve. If they block that's good enough to beat SF or Tampa.douche wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 3:55 pm
They wanna beat SF. They are going to need to show SF things that they're not expecting us to do.

Exactly. But unlikely. SEA will run the ball (or attempt to), the clock will tick down, the game will end.
And Pete will be dumbfounded as to why they lost.
But don't worry about SF, TB is going to give this team all they can handle.

But recalling last year's Super Bowl, McVay admitted that he did not have an answer for NE, simply because Belichik made some changes. The Patriots were showing stuff that the Rams had not seen. And as I also recall, it was mentioned that the team you see on film in September may not look the same in October or November.
Ultimately, football is a large chess game. And the way to win is to keep the other team off balance. Belichik knows this better than anyone.

What's up with all this Patriots/Belichick dick sucking on here? Here are some links where some of you can talk about your favorite team.douche wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 6:07 pm
