Mitch to start a rehab assignment on Tuesday. He has played 40 games this season, .653 OPS and -0.4 WAR.

Power-hitting outfielder Mitch Haniger is in the final stages of his rehab and is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment on Tuesday. Haniger has been out since he suffered a fractured forearm in June, although Kapler recently revealed that a back issue had actually stalled his rehab more recently. Haniger is in the first season of a three-year, $43.5 million contract he signed with the Giants last offseason. He has a .230/.281/.372 triple-slash in 160 plate appearances this season, but is a career .259/.332/.469 hitter.

Awesome! Rooting for this guy. My daughter Madison and her 2 cousins Addy and Jojo(Ages 4-8) were screaming "Hey Mitch!" in their little girlie voices for what seemed like 3 innings until he finally looked over and waved at them. They freaked out!! It was hilarious

I would like to think that we as a team have not peaked yet so disagree with his line of thinking. Julio has been on fire but several players have not maybe Teo has been. Still need France to show up and jp and jk both could contribute

Dude! If JK comes back and pulled what he did at the beginning of this season or the end of '21, then lookout. Many of nights have I dreamed of Julio and JK hitting back-to-back at 2 and 3 in the order carrying this team to Glory! A little humble pie for Jarred will probably do him some good. It's good to get that kid to settle down and think about things. Because he's still A KID!

And I'm not saying don't start Marlowe. Cade Has earned his share of playing time. But you have a nice 5 man rotation in the OF going right now, 6 if you count Dylan Moore. 3 lefties, and 3 righties(JRod, Teo, Moore).

This is what I consider a kid as opposed to a 24 yo "man" that got mad about striking out and then kicked a cooler so hard he broke his foot and then the next day called all the media together so he could cry about it like a little bitch.

I walk by this "Kid's" memorial almost every day walking my dogs. KIA at 19 years old, 5 YEARS younger than JK is now.

Dude! When I was 24, I was still doing stupid shit. I don't care what you can do legally. We all mature differently. I think if Kelenic grew up in Julio's household country environment, that he'd be a totally different ball player mentally. When this kid is ON he's a major boon to this team. You can't change my mind. This team needs fire power for the playoffs.

The problem is he's only been "on" for two months out of the three seasons he's been around.
