I'd like to know what you were smoking when you picked the Jets.

That game made me nervous. I would still have picked the Eagles, but should have only put half as many confidence point s on it.

Bet a buck I get hosed elsewhere, but Eagles-Jets is my game of fear this week.

DT: Really? 95% have the Eagles. 5% must be irrational Jets fans.

maoling: I don't know, the Eagles have looked beatable at times this year and the Jets could be still riding the juju bus after delivering the Broncos another Denver Downer last week.

It only cost you 5 points, but you still kicked ass.

to answer all the questions at once:
1) everybody had the chiefs at 15 or 16, so I missed out on that by picking the Broncos
2) I have picked the Broncos to win and Seahawks to lose since last season as a sort of reverse jinx, because it seems to work. However, since we have the lower of the Saints' or Broncos' pick, I may switch off to picking the Saints.
3) Every week I pick at least one significant upset. I have thought all season the Eagles are overrated, and have been squeaking by, so figured they'd lose sooner rather than later.

Mostly it's just blind luck, so I'm gonna go ahead and gloat while I can.

Well if you had put 15 on the Chiefs all your other picks would have been bumped down one point. So that would have been 10 fewer points off the other correct picks you made. 15 - 10 = 5.

That is actually an excellent argument and interesting math problem. However, it doesn't take into account the sheer randomness of my picks. I wouldn't have just bumped everything down, I would've picked one to switch it out with (because the stupid site makes it so difficult to change things). This could have been pretty much anything, as I usually only focus on the 16 and 15 pt games and everything else kinda falls where ever the screen ends, since that's as far as I can drag it.

I concede the overall argument to your superior analytics, though.

Try it on a computer. It's a lot easier. If I am making changes on a mobile device I click the number and make the change that way, rather than trying to drag up or down, as I agree. It's too difficult on a mobile device to do that.
