Fact is Cohen has a history of re-signing players. This isn't the mariners we are talking about. Whether they re-sign him or not he has value to them next season. You have both the owner and the president indicating Alanso will be back. You can give me the, what are they supposed to say retort. This isn't Dipoto we are talking about. There is no reason for them to bullshit their fans. If they plan to trade him in a month that be pretty stupid. What does it gain them?

I don't think Steve Cohen is an idiot, he's working in the highest pressure environment in baseball. If in fact they are intent on trading Alanso there is no reason for him to be leading his fans on about it. That's the angle I'm betting. It will be interesting to see what happens

I showed my plan to this guy and he made it clear he is in the majority of the fanbase that still loves JK. That was was my point, there would be pain.

It's not a bad trade idea, I just can't get my brain around the Mets doing it. JK has trade value, trading him for a single season of another player would be controversial with fans. Just like the Mets trading Alanso for him would be there I believe

LOL This one he decided to add some commentary above the headline about Castillo. He has asked me why he doesn't take his wig off when he pitches.
