Re: Playoffs
Well there it is. Bye Dusty.
But Duh-poto, take note.

Re: Playoffs
Btw, from 2009-14, Bochy won 3 World Series with SF.
But overall, for 25 years, he had a just under losing record, incl with SD.
They stole Garcia from the Cards.
Big if, but if deGrom returns and can stay healthy, they have much to look forward to.

Re: Playoffs
Funny I just noticed recently that he had losing record over all but now has a chance at his fourth title.
As my Pirates fan messaged me he must have a four leaf clover stuck up his ass. lol
Btw he won three from 2010-2014. Yankees won in 2009. Arod's only title.

Re: Playoffs
Believe Joe Torre barely had a winning record before he got to the Yankees

Re: Playoffs
Not having a winning record early in their careers seems more evidence to get a seasoned manager. Servais could probably start winning after twenty years also.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 6:23 pmHe put up 57.5 WAR as a player.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 5:29 pmBelieve Joe Torre barely had a winning record before he got to the Yankees

Unfortunately we've been living through his learning curve.
Scott Servais had 4.9 WAR across 11 seasons.
Dipoto had 5.1 WAR in 8 seasons.
I'm not surprised they're content with striving for mediocrity.

About 0.5 WAR a season. 1-2 WAR guys must seem like super stars...bpj wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 6:46 pmNot having a winning record early in their careers seems more evidence to get a seasoned manager.
