How about in the Cougar game were they called the hands to the face on the wrong team! The next play had been run before the ref who blew the call clued in to the fact that the Cougars had been penalized and not Cal. The Cougs started at their own 15 or something like that, instead of on the other side of midfield!? Mind numbing!D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 6:26 pmWas there ever a time when officiating in any sport was considered good. Remember when they thought Vinny Testeverde's white helmet was the ball costing us the playoffs? SB 40 was now 14 years ago. I just don't get the notion that bad officiating is some recent shocking development.

Yep, people are saying it sounds like he said tails. You think Sherman would have let that slide? I think not.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 7:13 pmIs there actually controversy over what call he made?D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 6:30 pmCoin flip controversy developing. lol

I can understand out there was a communication problem between the official that made the call and the ref that enforced it but wtf was the official that called it and knew what team he called it on doing when he saw them marching the ball 50 yards away from where he knew it should be spotted??????Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 7:12 pmHow about in the Cougar game were they called the hands to the face on the wrong team! After that first quarter it felt like the Hawks just completely dominated the Whiners. Ifedi handed them eight free points, Wright had the game-ending interception hit him right in the hands, Metcalf fumbled at their goal line (great play the Whiner defender), Wilson threw a pick at their goal line, the refs were horribly one-sided (calling Wilson in-the-grasp but blowing the whistle as he was past the line of scrimmage?). and the Hawks STILL won. In their house.
Week off, get healthy, and then hopefully they can go out and beat the Iggles.

My wife and I both thought that the ref called it opposite of what Gino said when we were watching it live.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 7:13 pmIs there actually controversy over what call he made?D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 6:30 pmCoin flip controversy developing. lol

Crazy....but hard to imagine Sherman wouldn't have gone nuts. I was watching with a bunch of people so very rarely heard sound, which was fine because when we did hear it was Booger and his buddies saying something stupid.
