Yet again I am reminded that it is kid of bullshit all the love given to the AFC. KC can't beat the Packers? All I have heard is that it's about the AFC and then who ever comes out of the NFC. Philly and SF, in my opinion? Are the two best teams in football, and after watching last night? Do the Chiefs even beat Detroit? The Dolphins seem to be the class of the AFC, and sorry, I do not see how they beat the cream of the NFC. The Browns have long been talked about as a top of the AFC team, and especially defense. The Rams smoked their asses. Sorry, the AFC is not the shit, and I am tired of hearing how they are.
The disparity was greater at the beginning of the season, but has been greatly mitigated by injuries. NFC 2023 is super top heavy - Philly/SF, maybe Dallas and Detroit, and very mediocre after that - much like the ACC for the past 10 years with a really good Clemson and nobody else. AFC had many more teams that could contend, at least before all the injuries. Start with KC and Cincy, then Ravens, Dolphins, Bills, Jets and Jags. Of course when Rodgers, Burrow and the Bills best defensive players go out early that really thins the herd. You could throw DeShaun in there too if you want to stretch it, and now i guess Lawrence is hurt as well. Only Cousins comes to mind in the NFC.

If this is referring to my post I was speaking in terms of FOs in general, not this particular season. Purdy is making $870,000. Not only do the 49ers have an advantage with a QB on his first contract, they are hardly paying him anything at all.

Are you complaining about that or just pointing that out?

We did that with Wilson.

Go Cinci!!
Ha. Good luck!
Thank you for the lesson.
I don't think I would have done it because you still couldn't win the week. :)

I'm not complaining about it, it's fine with me, though some would argue it's unfair for Purdy. When you use a QB on their first contract there will be an advantage. Stroud is making nearly $10 mIl a year so in the case of Purdy its pretty extreme. Not sure it makes the 49ers FO brilliant or lucky. The Hawks were lucky with RW, better to be lucky than good

Sure took major balls and it paid off. I guess you have faith in Husky QBs! Let's bring him home!

Apparently every monday night game is going to be a massive upset (unless i put points on the underdog).

Eff Jake Browning. He'll never have another game that good the rest of his career i'd wager.

It still took a Lawrence injury to get it done. I think at worst the Jags kick a FG in OT if Lawrence is at QB. Still, they aren’t a very good team. This was a real tough week to assign points, but obviously I put too many on the Jags. I haven’t been sold on them all year. What the fuck is up with Ettiene? He looks like half the back he was last year? Is almost non existent when running inside, and it seems he simply stops his feet on contact. Maybe it’s the O Line, but I haven’t been all that impressed with Lawrence either.

I didn't have time to analyze anything for this week for a business trip. I thought I'd be home on Friday so I can do the picks for the rest of the games tomorrow, so early Tuesday morning I put a 1 on the Steelers and hit the road.....it paid off.
lol
