My God the Reds have like a dozen good bats!! How do we only have 3??? I would take this guy too.

.860 home

.749 away

It's amazing that Reds players almost never have better away splits. Winker couldn't hit a baseball the second he left Cinci.
Steer is .835 on the Road.

CES destroyed minor league pitching and is only 23.

I'd just assume stay the hell away from Reds hitters unless they're opposite split or 1.000 OPS guys.

I have a hard time believing Jake Fraley, for instance, is all of a sudden an above average hitter in this league.

Fraley is .796 at home and .766 on the road. .766 would be our fourth best hitter last season and 3rd best qualified. Caution and a closer looked is needed but I would not excluded them as a trade partner given there dire need for starters. Geno had a pretty damn good year in 2022 and was a lot better than he was in Cincy.

It makes perfect sense for Fraley to be sort of peaking right now.

1) He's at the right age to have his best seasons
2) He's always had very strong pitch recognition
3) Home ballpark works in his favor
4) He's in a platoon role where they sit him vs. lefties

He's really more of a fringe-average player than anything else, but he sort of has the wind at his back right now and so I guess he'll get a pretty decent payday next year. I just hope he has a good investment plan because this is the type of player that can very quickly find himself non-tendered and fighting for a job.

Can't wait to tell my Grand Dogs about the 37 minutes that Tyler O Neill was almost a Mariner again. They will all drop their chew toys and listen with extreme captivation.

There are those teams that shop at Value Village, and then there are the Mariners who shop in the discount bin at Value Village.
