The M’s have to do something more than Urias at 3B and dumping payroll. They need several impact players and I don’t see us spending what is needed to get them. Why would Ohtani want to come here anyway since the ownership doesn’t really care about winning?
Where will Ohtani sign?

Fair enough. But I care in as much as I care if he goes to a division rival. Or the Dodgers. Cause fuck the Dodgers. For a while there they were talking about the Rangers as a landing spot. That I cared about.mostonmike wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 9:45 pmI always like to see a "don't care" option in polls and since its not likely to be the Mariners I don't care.
But if he has to go anywhere, I'd be happy with the Jays. My dad - a huge Jays fan - died a year ago, and he would have shit himself if the Jays landed Ohtani.

It was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, of course it matters. Every poll needs "don't care" in it, though.Big_Maple wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 10:28 pmFair enough. I’d be really happy to see him go there. I just can’t imagine he will. If he does it’s not about winingBig_Maple wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 10:28 pmFair enough. You think that would make them World Series bound.

I watched a "locked-on" podcast where they shared some Yahoo-Japan's reporter that: "Basically Seattle was the last team to interview with Ohtani and that Seattle offered a 1 year 65M offer."OLdvanDawg wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 10:18 pmSo if Ohtani signs with the Blue Jays and Soto going to the Yankees, the East will be loaded. I don't believe it because that ownership group is trash. And, I think we just became "The Seattle Losers"
